Small room, no air, no hot water, milk gone off invroom as so hot! Not usual Best Western great standards
You did not have my reservation even though we had emailed booking confirmation. The desk rebooked there and then much to our relief.
Fire alarm went off twice during the night No cold water from taps
Nice clean comfortable room, great location for tube, nice area, friendly helpful staff
Parts of forniture (eg window, heater) old and rusty
The hotel is in a typical London terrace and a bit out of the way of the London Hullabaloo, though close to the Metro (one stop from Victoria) and with bus at the door. We had been hoping to stay elsewhere but a change of dates caused us to look farther afield from Central London than we have done in the past. A number of good restaraunts are near the hotel. Our room was small but fairly typical of London establishments. Continental breakfast for 5 ponnds 95 was good value. Internet was free. Staff were helpful. If you're in London, and you don't want to stay in an inner city hotel, the Corona is good. It has been tastefully painted and recarpeted fairly recently.
The size of the room made it difficult to manage our luggage at the end of a 7 weeks trip and gathering of souvies. For some peculiar reason, the cold water ran warm most of the time. This was compensated for by the hotel providing jugs of chilled drinking water on request.
Great location in Victoria. Local shops are very convenient.
The road is rather noisy and the rooms aren't very well double glazed. If you get a room at the back of the hotel you'll be ok, but otherwise it's not good if you're a light sleeper.
There was a generous continental buffet breakfast. The reception staff were friendly and helpful.
The showere required attention. The water kept going cold. Once I had worked out that the control kept slipping rather than there being no hot water, I was nearly done! Fix this, and it would be excellent value for money.
The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The water pressure in the shower was also excellent.
You have to go down stairs to the reception to get the log in code for the internet and this code changes every day - they will not give it to you if you phone down to them and this is a bit inconvenient.
The toilet was dirty on arrival. Needed flushing twice before being ready to use. Bathroom tap only provided hot water - impossible to get cold water.
Lovely balconies on the 1st floor with nice street view, quiet location, just few steps from subway.
Tiny room and bathroom, no in-room Wi-Fi coverage and poor connection in the lobby.
Location suitable for my conference, helpful staff, large comfortable room
Very small bathroom, although it was adequate for my needs.
It was open 24 hours and was well located.
At a Best Western I expect to be able to eat a meal and have a drink, yet there was no resterant or bar.
For exploring London - the location is excellent.
The location was great. Room was clean and nice. Besides I had a balcony which was really nice. The room had a very high ceiling which is my favourite about English houses:) Very good value for money.
